We were able to get a campsite quite close to the water and enjoyed swimming and paddleboarding! The restrooms were clean and had nice showers. We enjoyed our time here!
We had a nice morning kayaking on the lake. It's fairly small and ski boats can make a lot of waves. It's pretty crowded, we went on a Sunday so maybe busier than a weekday. All in all it was a good experience.
I wish there were half stars as I would give 3.5 stars.
Here is the the good ... Clean campground with clean sites & bathrooms. Some sites w/o hook-ups would work well for smaller RVs. Nice lake access with big beach and water is clean.
The not as goods... If you are in an RV and want hook-ups your site options are limited. The sites are too close to each other & one section for RVs is literally a paved area like a parking lot. There are limited trails so the lake better be your choice for the day/stay
Cool park with a nice lake. Hiked, took pictures of birds and am playing golf tomorrow. Would come again in part because the Ranger (George) is perhaps the nicest and most helpful human I've ever met.
Excellent state park! Great camping spots, RV spots, general day access beach. Went paddleboarding and was not disappointed. People out on boats fishing, no one going crazy in speed boats which was nice. Generally quiet lake boatwise. Park rangers will check reservations and car passes, make sure you pay. This is not a free campground. Clean restrooms with showers as well. Phone service can be spotty at campgrounds which is great if you want to disconnect.
Beautiful place to spend the weekend camping , fishing or playing golf. The campground is clean well kept. Would definitely go back again. We did some trout fishing of the dock, it could be repaired or in better condition. The dock is broken not maintained but still works. We caught our limit. The view is impressive specially right before sunrise ๐
๐The lake is nice to swim in it even not during peak summer. Also has shallow areas for families with kids much calmer than lake chelan. Also not as crowded.
Beautiful & serene place. Lovely campground, nice swimming beach with corded off swim area, nice boat launch. The park is easy to get to. We camped in an RV in the beach loop (site 61) area which is lovely, the tent sites are all huge & very nice. The RV sites in the beach loop are just like a parking lot (the other RV areas are gravel and fairly private). Back-in parking, water & electric only, all concrete, and many sites slope to one side so be sure to have leveling tools/capability with you. The view of the lake is amazing from each site though! The golf course is just down from the entrance & has a little cafe in the pro shop downstairs. Chelan is about 30min, Brewster about 20, Pateros about 10min away. Only reason for 4 stars is sloped, parking lot style rv spots, we've loved everything else & would definitely return.
Very clean state park. Loop 2 had Rv/trailer parking which was up above on a parking lot lined up right next to each other with hook ups. We chose to dry camp at site 70 which fit our 18' trailer and Excursion SUV. Camp sites without hook ups appear to have more space. But Not all the camp sites could fit small trailers. Only a handful of trees no privacy but bathrooms were clean and working with paid showers. On loop 2 campsites are on the lake which has a little beach area. There is wifi with cellphone reception.
